New Paths 2: the Expanded Shaman Now Available

Expanded Shaman coverNew Paths 2: the Expanded Shaman is now available in the Kobold Store! It’s the second in a new series that began with the popular New Paths: Expanded Spell-Less Ranger.

This new take on the shaman —  a base class for the Pathfinder RPG that was first presented in Kobold Quarterly #21 —  is a nature and spirit-focused spontaneous caster, with great new abilities and an animal spirit guide. The removal of prepared spells makes this a more mystical and freeform nature-based caster. The new powers and expanded wildshape and totem abilities mean that the shaman is both flexible and powerful. Marvel at the new spirit dance, improved wildshape powers, and totem secrets, which grant additional powers beyond the ken of mere druids.

New Paths 2: the Expanded Shaman includes new material beyond the original magazine version: three new archetypes for the elemental shaman, primal shifter, and witch doctor, plus new feats and spells specific to the Shaman that make them masters of the spirit world and an expanded list of animal spirit guides. The Expanded Shaman includes a full 20-level character progression plus tracking sheets for animal spirit companion and wildshape forms.

Use New Paths 2: the Expanded Shaman alone or combine it with Divine Favor: The Druid and you’ve got yourself a pretty remarkable and unique shaman character, ready to call down the full fury of the wild!

  1. If my suggestion to have a stag spirit guide made it into the expanded list, I will buy this product immediately.

If not, I’ll probably just wait til next payday. ;)

  2. Foghammer – I LOVED your suggestion to add a stag companion … you’ll be happy to hear there are a number of new spirit companions (including a few that aren’t even animals) and a stag is ineed one of them :)

I guess this was the next supplement whispered about over at Paizo – good to see New Paths kicking it new-school as it were. Can’t wait to see where this line goes. Nice work Marc, and I’m liking the cover too.

I already didn’t mention it! :) I started typing that I had an inkling of a rumor of my own in that last comment, but deleted it! Good luck, Sultana – it’s a great concept!
