Phillip Larwood’s “Ecology of the Shoggoth” for Pathfinder for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game… Besides describing the Shoggoth’s maddening mentality, plastic physiology, and vast vocal range, it gives variants of the primordial creature, new abilities, discusses cults devoted to them—an excellent basis for a mini campaign there…
“Lovecraftian Gods” is by Aeryn Rudel [for 4th Edition]… details three gods in particular, not in terms of numbers… but in terms of how each can be used in a game, specifically each god’s role, his basic teachings, how each is worshipped, and various abilities granted to the most ardent and highly favoured of said worshippers. The three entities in question are Azathoth, Nyarlathotep, and Yog-Sothoth… they highlight the flexibility of the Cthulhu Mythos and its various entities…

… the gem of the issue is the “Guide to Sex and Romantic Subplots in Fantasy Adventure Gaming.” Mario Podeschi is no stranger to KQ, and if this article is any indication, we’ll be seeing a lot more. He talks about hooks, shallow PCs and NPCs, episodic appearances, the sticky subject of intercourse even a primer on what to do when the table is divided on the matter of romance and PCs—everything a GM could ask for when incorporating this aspect into a game.
If you haven’t picked up an issue, this is a fantastic place to start.

I loved the gun toting class. I’ve currently got a game going where the gnomes have created gun powder. Orignally I was only going to have them using cannons, but magically KQ comes out with exactly what I could use for my campaign. I can now give my gnome loving player this class and he can let the bullets fly. :) I don’t know how you guys do it, but I love it anyhow.

Seems that this KQ is exactly what a few people need. Somebody needed a gun-toting class and got one, while somebody else wanted info on shoggoths and got that as well. Seems Wolfgang is pleasing a lot of people with this issue.
A nice addition, now I have to pull out KQ #7 for the Spells of the Gun and see how well these can work together! :)
