On Friday, August 17, 2012, many gathered at Union Station in Indianapolis for the ENnie Awards. The kobolds, who were already pleased at being nominated for various awards, were ecstatic when they learned the results of the fans’ votes: Open Design won gold awards for Streets of Zobeck (Best Adventure) and Complete Kobold Guide to Game Design (Best RPG-Related Product). Congratulations go to all those who added their talent, skills, and passion for gaming to both of these products, and many thanks go to those who voted for these products.
To see how excited we are about these awards, just take a look at designer Ben McFarland, who is holding the award given for Streets of Zobeck.
Congratulations Ben – and all those who worked on it. Well deserved!
Streets felt special from the start. It was a ton of fun to work on and the group just seemed to burst with creativity.
THAT is an awesome picture of Ben! LOL!
Huzzah!
Congratulations to Ben McFarland, Mike Franke, Michael Furlanetto, Richard Pett and Christina Stiles for writing these award winning adventures!
I have read them all and each is a grim and gritty gem! As a senior patron who pitched and contributed in my own small way, I feel like a winner myself. I’m so proud to be a part of the winning team. Thanks Ben, for including me in this project. I learned so much about pitching and designing through Streets of Zobeck. :)
Congratulations Kobolds. Well deserved.
There was a typo in an early PDF that listed Mike Furlanetto as an author, but the correct credit is Matthew Stinson. That is corrected in the current PDF.
Congrats to Matthew as well as the Glenn Zimmerman and Pat Loboyko.
I also want to give a big thanks to Jonathan Roberts and Gill Pearce, our cartographers! Especially everyone who voted.
The tough part? My face froze like that. ;)
-Ben.
Congrats, all!
Ben, you got my errata notes from early this year. Here’s hoping the 2nd printing gets the names right!
Congratulations Kobolds! Small but Fierce indeed!
