For many years, I’ve had a strange relationship with that notorious nice guy, Mr. Monte Cook. We’ve collaborated on projects like the Dark*Matter campaign setting and the Beyond Countless Doors Planescape retrospective. And Malhavoc Press.
This year, though, all that friendly feeling has to go out the window, More…as Monte’s work has been nominated for an ENnie Award in the Best Electronic Book category. The category that Open Design has TWO nominations in.
Yes, two nominations! One for Empire of the Ghouls, and one for Six Arabian Nights. I could not be happier about these nods from the judges. But it means staring down one of Monte’s projects for a shot at the award. That Mr. Cook, he dogs my steps! He is notorious! He must be stopped from YET ANOTHER ENnie victory!
Yes, I realize these projects are the underdog here, but that’s something we’re used to at Kobold Quarterly and Open Design.
Please vote for Empire of the Ghouls and Six Arabian Nights. They are both excellent adventures, and I hope you agree that it’s time to see a new publisher step up in the Electronic Book category.
