Hill Giant Minions

Hill Giant Minions

Why should evil overlords have all the fun? Sometimes it needs to be about the minion! Ennie-award-winning designer Ben McFarland continues a new five-part series by taking a look at Richard Pett’s piece from Kobold Quarterly #10, “Ecology of the Hill Giant.” He offers a way to turn this monster into the signature foot soldier for your own Big Bad.

  1. Cool stuff Ben, and flattering to see your take on the ecology. I think the points you make are splendid and I’ll come back to this site again to see what else is happening. It’s interesting to see an article that analyzes another and draws out the playing options with so many good new ideas .
    Huzzah!

  2. :D Thank you, sir. Always nice to get the nod from the source author! I really liked the games you created– it definitely adds a sense of verisimilitude to the monster when you have great details like that to expand upon.
