Halls of the Mountain King has met the commission bar as an OGL project, and will be written as an adventure for levels 8 to 10, with more than 40 encounters. Congratulations to all the patrons who voiced their support for this edition of the world’s most popular role-playing game!

The adventure’s target length is about 120 pages, though it could be anywhere from 96 to 160 pages. This project will also include the 48-page Dwarves of Zobeck Gazetteer, which will feature material specific to the Ironcrag dwarves, their creations, their airships, and the rituals that created the gearforged, among other elements.

At the same time, there’s been good support for a 4E conversion of the Halls of the Mountain King adventure. We will create a conversion (and will design the OGL version with that conversion in mind), and release it to the 4E patrons after the OGL version is complete. If sufficient 4E patrons support it, this adventure will come with a 4E-specific Iron Gazetteer featuring new rituals, clan lore and rules, new equipment and magic items, and much more.
