… I couldn’t be more pleased with this magazine. It’s been quite a while since I’ve gotten this many ideas out of a gaming mag. Please excuse me while I go subscribe and look up back issues.

there are at least three D&Ds… Kobold Quarterly services them all, plus it delivers a fair balance of system-neutral creativity, articles, advice, insights and more – mostly from veteran designers, but not leaving out the brilliant newcomer.

The issue is worth it for the vampire and werewolf articles alone. Everything else is cream.

So what was my favorite? It’s really hard to choose between Hank Woon’s torture article and Marc Radle’s spell-less revision of the ranger, and I still don’t think I can choose between these two gems. These were the two articles that made me want to play right away.
