Tales of the Valiant: Monster Vault
All the Monsters You Need for a Valiant Adventure!
The Monster Vault contains over 400 monsters for the Tales of the Valiant roleplaying game and all the guidance you need as a Game Master to run encounters with those monsters!
In this book, you’ll find:
- Classic fantasy monsters, such as ogres, dragons, water elementals, and giants.
- New monsters suitable for any fantasy or science fantasy world, such as ambush hags, virtuoso liches,
fey guardians, mechadrons, and robots. - New terrors from the ever-corrupting Void, such as voidlings, star crows, crimson jellies, and the mighty void dragon.
The Monster Vault also contains all the information a Game Master needs to create encounters with monsters, including monster roles and tactics, and it includes optional rules for Game Master Doom points.

The quality of writing and instruction in these books is superb. Thank you for giving this system the attention it needed and giving me the opportunity to buy it from Kobold Press.
Justin Margerum –
Kobold Press has been consistently creating superior D&D 5e compatible content for years, steadily improving even as the quality of first party materials has continued to decline. The Player’s Guide and Monster Vault are no exception to this trend. Improved organization, better writing, and better overall accessibility for DMs and players alike make these not only a viable lateral substitute for those who would rather not continue financially supporting the bad faith corporate antics of Hasbro/WotC, but actual improvements which stand alone on their own merit. That they remain fully compatible with any 5e products one might already have in one’s library is a nice value added bonus. I supported this practically sight unseen as a Kickstarter project on the strength of Kobold Press’s reputation alone, and I regret nothing!
