A very lovely and light-hearted starting adventure. I would like to give kudos to the writers for giving multiple options to help demonstrate the GMs how to allow the players tackle various challenges with different skills instead of a single nailed answer. Easy to run, simple in its premise, and the MacGuffin can be hacked and adjusted for any scenario with relative ease. Aside from being somewhat reliant on ToV’s Mechanist class as the premise – the shards can be easily made into anything you need to make it fit into your universe. I’m giving it a 4 just because there are no cool knights like the one depicted on the cover art. I know it sounds pretentious, but I don’t understand why put something on the cover if it doesn’t reflect the contents.

This adventure provides an enjoyable and thrilling gaming experience. The city of Fernhaven is vividly described and encourages players to delve deeper into the NPCs. The challenges are well-suited for a beginning party, though minor adjustments may be required. The plot, while straightforward, is captivating and boasts well-crafted characters. Overall, this adventure is an excellent choice for new players. However, one minor criticism is that the cover art does not accurately reflect the story within.
