Really enjoying this book, it’s the perfect companion piece to Tome of Beasts and the Midgard setting books. Only qualm with the PDF: the 1st and last cover pages are insanely big, so when you view the PDF all the pages in-between are really teeny and need to be zoomed. (This in Preview with MacOS and on Acrobat on iOS.)

I love this book it’s got incredibly original monster ideas and wonderful illustrations.

Love the illustrations and different monsters to use. My players really enjoy fighting things they really haven’t seen before. Just a note for what I’d enjoy more of would be the Midgard setting side bars for some monster that let me more easily choose where to place random encounters when I’m using the Midgard setting for my campaign. Other than that, excellent product!

Another 5 start review! This product has both greatly diversified the creatures I can use in game and added to the sense of wonder my players feel. There’s nothing that builds more satisfying tension than facing creatures whose strengths and weaknesses you can only guess at and the monsters in this book are creative and very well balanced to fill that role. I hope they bring this to Roll20 soon as I will happily but a digital copy there to have it on that platform as well as the hardcopy for use at the table!

Great collection of new monsters. My players have really enjoyed all the new creatures they’ve encountered.

My favorite monster manual from Kobold press. New beasts and lore help add creatures to your own worlds.

Quick note; Hardcover has textured paper where as the pocket edition (softcover) has glossy. I will say even though the pocket edition is smaller the glossy paper helps give more of a “pop” to the monster art.

All-in-all, this book is close by for every session.

The appendices are the best! “Creatures by Terrain”?! Awesome! By “Type”, by “Challenge”?! Inspired. All appendices should be this useful.

Seems really cool. Only issue I have with it is that I use Forge VTT to run my foundry games online, and Forge currently doesn’t work well with version 10 of foundry. There is no version 9 download for this module seemingly, so I can’t use what I bought at all, without losing compatibility with most of my stuff.

When its usable on forge through an update, I’m sure this is a five out of five, for now the fact it doesn’t have a version for the more stable and complete version 9 is real disapointing.
